Silver Travel - Email Newsletter

Dear Silver Travellers

A very happy, healthy and peaceful New Year to you all! We are back at Silver Towers, quietly polishing off the remaining Quality Street with our afternoon cuppas, and contemplating balancing them with well-intentioned Zumba or yoga classes. Our view from Silver Towers is pleasing year-round, the peace park that is Tavistock Square and Gandhi in thoughtful mode. Contemplation, tranquillity and harmony are just what we wish for in 2019. Along with a little less talk about Brexit please, and a lot more about exciting travel!

For inspiration and ideas, you could take a look at the latest edition of The Silver Traveller, order your printed copy or read it on line. Totally free, of course.

Prize winners from the December Christmas stocking and more

There were 12 days’ worth of winners in our incredible stocking, the biggest ever. Our weary elves are taking a well-earned rest after dispatching hampers, books, candles, vouchers, robes and much more. The postman was literally staggering out of Silver Towers and had to be revived with a glass of mulled wine or two!

What's more, Dean McKenzie from Upper Norwood won two tickets to see Don Quixote at the Garrick Theatre. The HF Holidays November prize, a short break for two, will be taken by Caroline Hutchings from Chichester who is looking forward to trying out new activities as well as walking. Travels with Granny by Juliet Rix and Christopher Corr has been won by Joyce Willis, Jane Luce and Jennifer Nisbet. Our October prize, a 5-day cycling holiday in the south of France from Cycling For Softies, has been won by an astonished Peter Dick of Grantown on Spey. He’s also really pleased! Our prize draws are fun and free – and there’s always something new to be won!
