Dear Silver Travellers

March was a month of many parts. And stepping away from Brexit, our hearts go out to those people who lost relatives and friends in Christchurch. Our patron, John Carter, was stirred to write this poignant article about an act of kindness and a very special teddy bear.

Do keep voting in the Silver Travel Awards with Shearings and Avis as our Gold sponsors and please encourage your family and friends over 50 to do the same! Remember every vote enters you into the prize draw to win a week’s holiday for two in Italy, a 3-night stay at a UK hotel or 7 days car hire almost anywhere in the world. What’s more we have 30 places at the sparkling Silver Travel Awards at BAFTA on 26 June with a twist of the movies, starting at 7pm, to allocate to Silver Travellers, which, as always, will be offered by ballot. Please register your interest now to service@silvertraveladvisor.com and we will confirm by 15 May.

And there are just a few places remaining on our Ramblers & Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Cruise & Walk ship visit on 6 May in Southampton. We’d love to see you there!
