Dear Silver Travellers

It’s good to hear that more and more silver travellers are not only taking well-deserved holidays here in the UK but also in Europe too. Negotiating ferry terminals, Eurostar and airports with the requisite vaccination certificates and test results is all becoming part of the ‘new normal’, as is a face mask in every pocket. And it is manageable, a worthwhile ‘best foot forward’ experience that means you can get away for a break. Remember when plastic bags for liquids and toiletries were a hassle? Now they are just routine. It’s amazing how we adjust, especially when there’s a holiday a few hours away.

Is it true that Christmas decorations have been spotted in the shops? The countdown begins! You might like to think about festive breaks (hot or cold), family gatherings and winter wonderland trips. This year we so deserve these treats.
